Good Luck on the AP Biology Exam!

We Made It!!!

AP Biology teachers around the world can breathe a sigh of relief after classes today.  We have done everything in our power to prepare these students for the AP Biology exam on Monday.  So good luck to everyone!

I am pretty excited about the group of students I have this year.  I will have 63 students sitting for the exam on Monday.  We have worked so hard this year and I am really proud of the job they have done.  We will spend today (Friday) doing our final review.

We have pondered and analyzed about the possible topics for the essay questions.  And we have worked through old released exams until we are weary and starry eyed!  Most of my students look like this poor little girl!

So what does the weekend hold for us?  For me, I am super excited that the responsibility has shifted off my shoulders and completely onto the backs of my students.  I will enjoy this weekend of beautiful weather, and having my oldest daughter home from college to make our family complete for a lovely Mother's Day weekend.  For my students?  Well, that is another story.  They had better spend EVERY WAKING MOMENT studying and reviewing!!  : )

To my students, I would like to say what a pleasure it has been to teach you guys this year!  I think it has been one of the smoothest and easiest years of my teaching career.  You have worked hard and without complaint.  I know that you will make me proud on Monday!

To any other AP Bio teachers out there that might read this.....Good luck to you and your students!!

(PS... Happy Birthday to my daughter today!  I love you sweetie!!)

  1. I'm a week ahead of you with AP Environmental - the good thing (and probably the ONLY good thing) about having the first AP exam is being the first to feel that sweet relief. Of course, it lasted just until I saw the released FRQs . . .

  2. I know exactly what you mean! When I left school on Friday afternoon, I knew that I had done everything possible, and I could enjoy a wonderful Mother's Day week end with no more stress!! Now to start getting ready for the new curriculum changes coming this fall....on boy, the stress is already back!
